Sam Anderson
Samuel Anderson is a freelance trombonist based in Annapolis. He has performed with several orchestras in the Maryland area. Most notably: Mid Atlantic Symphony, Washington Opera Society, and Virginia Symphony. He also performs in a variety of groups from big bands to chamber ensembles. He is a founding member of Cortina Brass, Charm Brass Quintet, and the Wind Collision Duo, he is also a substitute member of Baltimore Brass Quintet.
Samuel’s chamber music career has led to performances throughout the Midwest and South Eastern USA, as well as Germany. He earned an M.M. from Yale School of Music where he studied with Scott Hartman, and his B.M. from Vanderbilt University with Jeremy Wilson. Aside from freelancing, Samuel spends his days as a curator and photographer for an antique auction house in Annapolis.
Marques Ceasar-Lopez
Marques Ceasar-Lopez (@tubakeys) is a tubist based out of Baltimore, MD. He serves as a founding member and administrator of the Bridger and Cortina Brass Quintets performing throughout the United States. Marques was a National Finalist at the 2018 Music Teacher National Association Chamber Music Competition and was a featured artist at the 2019 International Women’s Brass Conference. He also served as the Substitute Principal Tubist for the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra from July 2017 through December 2020.
Marques earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State University and completed his Master’s Degree at The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. His passion for collaboration has driven his work with composers and premiering their various works within chamber and solo settings. Aside from music, Marques holds a passionate disposition for higher education and serves as a Senior Admissions Counselor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Anna Layton
Anna Layton is a freelance horn player living in the greater Baltimore area. Anna received a Bachelor of Music from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2019, where she performed frequently with the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Shenandoah Conservatory Wind Ensemble. In March of 2017, Anna joined the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra on their South American tour in Argentina, including a performance at the widely recognized "La Ballena Azul," one of the largest concert halls in South America.
Upon graduating from Shenandoah, Anna continued her education at the Ball State University School of Music in Muncie, Indiana, where she was granted a full-time graduate assistantship as an artist-in-residence with the Beneficence Woodwind Quintet. While a student at Ball State, Anna also had the opportunity to perform frequently with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra and compete in the 2019 International Horn Competition of America.
Anna has studied with various notable horn players, such as retired U.S. "Pershing's Own" Army Band principal horn, Joseph Lovinsky, Washington National Opera principal horn, Geoffrey Pilkington, and former Florida Orchestra and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra member Gene Berger. Anna recently completed a Graduate Performance Diploma at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University under the instruction of National Symphony Orchestra member, Robert Rearden.
Luis Ozoria
Origin, tradition, and innovation are the pillars of award-winning artist Luis Ozoria. The Baltimore-based trumpeter’s musical prowess is recognized across the Eastern Shore as an artist who seamlessly navigates diverse styles and genres.
Luis' jazz ensemble, The Candor Collective, serves as a platform for his original compositions exploring themes of his Caribbean-American identity and philosophy on the human experience. With a commitment to authenticity and introspection, the Candor Collective delves deep into the essence of the music, forging connections that resonate with audiences on an intimate level.
In addition to commercial music, Luis is a founding member of Cortina Brass, a dynamic brass ensemble delivering engaging performances to all communities. With a commitment to pushing the boundaries of brass performance, Cortina introduces Classical, Contemporary, American, and World styles to the brass canon.
Beyond his performance pursuits, Luis is deeply passionate about education. Luis has contributed his expertise as a staff member of the Rowan University Summer Jazz Camp and is on faculty at the Peabody Institute. Through his work as an educator and mentor, Luis seeks to inspire the next generation of artistic visionaries, guiding them on a path of creativity, expression, and introspection.
Dillon Parker
Dr. Dillon Parker earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in 2025 from the Peabody Conservatory, studying orchestral trumpet with Tony Prisk and baroque trumpet with Josh Cohen. His baroque performances include appearances with the Washington Bach Consort, Washington National Cathedral, Smithsonian Academy Orchestra, Seraphic Fire, Bach Akademie Charlotte, and the Ottawa Bach Choir.
He currently teaches at Loyola University Maryland, and previously served as Interim Lecturer of Trumpet at Penn State University. He has won prizes at the North American Baroque Trumpet Competition, Peninsula Symphony Young Artists Competition, and Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Before moving to Baltimore, Dillon performed with Los Angeles ensembles including the American Youth Symphony and Debut Orchestra, and taught in underserved communities through the Young Musicians Foundation. He also holds degrees from California State University, Long Beach, and the University of North Dakota.
